The Bulk Transfer of Dangerous Liquids and Gases Between Ship and Shore course offers critical instruction on the safe and legally compliant transfer of hazardous liquids and gases between ships and shore facilities. Participants will understand the risks involved with starting bulk transfers, such as fire, explosion, or environmental contamination, and how to use proper management and safety controls to mitigate such hazards. Important subjects like pipeline and hose handling, emergency shutdown systems, vapor recovery, and response to spills are included in the course. In addition, compliance with international safety laws including MARPOL, SOLAS, and ISGOTT, which are industry standards, are reinforced throughout the course. Instruction on risk assessment, permit to work processes, and staff communication protocols will assist delegates in adopting a systematic approach to safe transfer of cargo. This course will be beneficial to professionals working in the maritime sector, oil & gas, and the chemical industry.
