Safe Usage of Vehicles on Construction Sites course is focused on the systematic control of vehicles in construction sites to avoid accidents, collisions, and injuries. Participants will be familiarized with common hazards such as vehicle blind spots, access without permission, interaction with pedestrians and heavy machineries, and rough and unlevelled grounds. Key safety measures covered in the course includes traffic management plans, speed limit controls, vehicle examination, and the use of warning signs and barricade. The adoption of international and OSHA safety standards and regulations including ISO and HSE guidelines is stressed toward developing a safe work environment. Participants will gain hands-on experience in assessing risks, safe maneuvering techniques, and planning for emergencies. Tailored for construction vehicle operators, site supervisors, and safety professionals, the training enables participants to understand, manage, and mitigate risks, enhance site safety, and comply with relevant legislation. At the end of the course, participants will appreciate the importance of vehicle safety in construction sites and lessens the chances of accidents while improving effectiveness in operations.

As a result of finishing this course, participants will know the safe practical procedures involved in managing vehicles and driving within construction sites ensuring safety, averting accidents, and compliance with industry requirements.

Recognizing Vehicle Operational Hazards at the Construction Site

  • Understand the typical risks presented by vehicles within construction sites such as run-over, steep incline tips, and blind spots.
  • Know the particular elements that foster many accidents within uneven and lack of visibility areas, hollowness of the industrial site, and harsh climatic conditions.

Vehicles Policies of Operation

  • Know the safety measures provided by the construction site including inspection of vehicles prior to operation, engaging and leaving the construction site motor, and proper securing of the pointer.
  • Understand the requirements of aligning with safe fuel consumption practices, accessing appropriate site zones, and respecting clearly mapped automobile pathways within the construction vicinity.

Construction Site Vehicle Care Maintenance and Examination

  • Understand the maintenance of ongoing serviceable conditions for running gauges and semi-comprehensive maintenance checks within the servicing framework.
  • What needs to be understood includes routine servicing schedules and shifting of servicing pre-requisites alongside measured tools of devices works to mitigate accidents.

Vehicle Operators Protective Gear (PPE)

  • Learn the different types of personal protective equipment for vehicle operators like seat belts, helmets, and high visibility clothing.
  • Learn how wearing appropriate PPE will mitigate the chances of incurring injury while operating vehicles on construction sites.

Accident Prevention and Emergency Response

  • Learn the steps and basic first aid procedures alongside evacuation plans and other emergency communication in case of a vehicle-related accident.
  • Learn proactive approaches to accident prevention like safety drills, signage on vehicles, and spotter vehicles.

Training will be conducted via Microsoft Team Meeting, online. Meeting invites will be shared on the day before the first day of training.
