Safe Usage of Offshore Lifting Equipment course undertakes training on the examination, operation, and maintenance of offshore lifting equipment with the aim of safety accident prevention and compliance with regulations. In the course participants will be taught about mitigating the risks of offshore lifting caused by harsh environmental conditions, dynamic loads, and siting of the equipment. The course covers key topics like rigging procedures, load weight estimation, inspections, as well as emergency response procedures. The primary focus is on compliance with LOLER, API RP 2D, IMCA standards and guidelines pertaining to lifting offshore so as to ensure safety in such practices. Practical approaches concerning risk analysis, communication failures, and equipment breakdown avoidance will enable participants to adopt an organized manner towards lifting safety. The training is tailored for riggers, crane operators, lifting supervisors and other safety staff to help learners meet the challenges of meeting deadlines with the need to enhance safety and compliance. After finishing the course, the participants should be able to facilitate best practices for the offshore lifts and help eliminate incidents on the job site.

All students who finish the course will understand how to drive and manage vehicles on construction sites without endangering workers, causing accidents, or violating laws.

Vehicle Safety Risks on Construction Sites

  • Students will study the most dangerous risks with vehicles on construction sites such as collisions, tipping, and blind spots.
  • Students will learn about the types of environmental factors that increase the chances of accidents, such as uneven surfaces and poor visibility.

Safe Driving Practices and Policies for Construction Vehicles

  • Students will be taught the fundamental safety procedures which must be adhered to while driving construction vehicles like driving post-inspection, secure loading and properly controlled driving.
  • Students will learn the importance of driving at designated safe speeds while maintaining in to proper position of vehicles as traffic on construction sites is controlled.

Vehicle Inspection and Maintenance For Safety

  • Students will cover the relevant topics of vehicle maintenance such as condition of brakes, tires, and level of fluids so vehicles will last longer for safe driving.
  • Students will learn why set maintenance periods are crucial along with proper inspection to avoid mechanical breakdowns and accidents برید and follow participatory injury prevention measures in a proactive manner.

Personal Protective Word of Equipment (PPE) for Drivers of Vehicles

  • Learn what types of personal protective equipment for vehicle operators (and drivers) exists, e.g., high visibility clothing, helmets, and seatbelts.
  • Learn about the necessary PPE and how they help in protecting the operator from injuries while driving vehicles on construction sites.

Prevention of Accidents and Response to Emergencies

  • Discuss what actions to take in case of a vehicle related accident, first aid treatment, evacuation, and relaying the emergency message.
  • Describe active measures taken such as safety drills, vehicle signage, and spotters assisting with direction to guide vehicles.

Training will be conducted via Microsoft Team Meeting, online. Meeting invites will be shared on the day before the first day of training.
