Reducing Errors and Influencing Safety Behaviour Course presents a detailed analysis of the issues associated with human error and behavior based safety training in the work setting. It also outlines errors stemming from fatigue, stress, communication issues, and lack of situational awareness. Participants will learn general ways to reduce the risk, prevent mistakes, and creating a safety culture in the workplace that go beyond mere compliance by embracing true wellness. The course includes critical aspects such as human error and communication safety topic, proactive communications and safety behavior communications, communication relations, human elements of safety, strategic communication in error prevention, and behavioral safety communications. A wide range of methods including case studies, workshops, and scenarios will be employed to help participants achieve practical outcomes that can transform organizational safety behaviors and decision-making practices towards riskier activities. This training is recommended for employees in all genera, managers, safety officers, practitioners, and any other participants in industry interested in improving safety, reducing incidents and compliance with the law.   • Analyze the influence of individual, group, and organizational actions on safety performance and outcomes.

Identifying Common Sources of Human Errors in the Workplace

  • Identify prominent reasons for human error within the context of escalated industry safety incidents and accidents.
  • Identify the locations and points of intervention within intervention analyses termed error location.

Implementing Effective Strategies to Reduce Human Errors

  • Understand and put into practice practices of human error reduction pertaining to communication, role expectations, workload, and ergonomics.

Influencing Safety Behavior through Leadership and Culture

  • Explain the factors that influence safety behavior, as well as the impact of optimist leadership in promoting positive cross team behavioral change.
  • Learn to develop and maintain an enduring proactive culture at the workplace geared at accident prevention.

Training will be conducted via Microsoft Team Meeting, online. Meeting invites will be shared on the day before the first day of training.
