Personal Protective Equipment PPE course offers an in-depth study of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and its relevance to worker’s protection from hazards and how employers must protect workers from struck by hazards in the workplace. Cover the various types of head protection, as well as eye and face protection, hearing, respiratory, hand and arm protection, and clothing. This course also considers proper PPE selection, usage, and maintenance with regard to identify a merger hazard including chemicals, impact force of falling object, noise, and airborne particles. Risk analysis for selection of appropriate PPE for specific tasks and the integration of such sytems into an overall safety programme are key topic areas. Also consider employee training, compliance, safety standards, and proper fitting as OSHA and ANSI regulations. In the end of the course, participants are able to apply and implement PPE programs, reduce injuries at work, and improve the safety culture within the organization.

After the completion of this course, learners will be able to understand and demonstrate the necessary steps to properly select, utilize, and maintain Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in a manner that ensures health and safety in the working environment, such as:

1. Understanding the Importance of PPE in Workplace Safety

  • Teaching of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and the uses of PPE for averting injuries and work-related ailments.
  • Learning about legal aspects, industry policies governing matters on personal protective equipment (PPE) with special attention on OSHA, ANSI and other safety policies.

2. Identifying the Different Types of PPE

  • Cover knowledge and application of the different classes of PPE such as gloves, eye and hearing protection respirators, headgear and protective clothing.
  • Equip with skills on how to analyze workplace risks and assign suitable PPE considering chemical, physical and environmental factors.

3. Proper Selection and Usage of PPE

  • Instructions on use of appropriate PPE based on risk evaluation and workplace conditions.
  • Explain appropriate use and wearing of PPE to enhance protection with respect to fitting and adjustments for comfort.

4. Maintenance and Care of PPE

  • Acquire skills PPE maintenance procedures of cleaning, storing and prolonging its usage whilst ensuring proper hygiene is maintained.
  • Recognize that damages or expired PPE also needs regular inspection, repair, and maintenance to ensure safety standards are upheld.

5. Encouraging Culture of Compliance and Awareness of PPE

  • Knowing that how to ‘push’ and ‘pull’ regarding advancing and promoting safety and PPE training. This includes reminders, communicating, identifying hazards, and more.
  • Understanding that how to enforce compliance with audits and performing reviews, demonstrating commitment which fosters a culture towards safety.

Training will be conducted via Microsoft Team Meeting, online. Meeting invites will be shared on the day before the first day of training.
