This course is designed to learn how to manage an oil and gas project while following health and safety guidelines. Have you ever wondered how oil and gas projects are planned, managed, and safely executed? This course divides the oil and gas projects into three stages, explaining their financial and technical requirements to protect the health and safety of workers and the environment. Explore how to plan, control, and manage projects in the oil and gas industry as well as how to lead teams effectively by setting shared organizational goals. . Instructional contact-time must be a minimum of 8 hours.

This course will offer participants a detailed understanding in various segments, which are not limited to:

  1. Introduction: Overview of the importance of safety in the oil and gas industry the role of a safety management system in promoting safety and protecting workers and the environment
  2. Regulations and Standards: Overview of OSHA regulations, API standards, and other relevant regulations for the oil and gas industry, how to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards
  3. Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment: Techniques for identifying and assessing hazards in oil and gas operations, how to conduct a risk assessment and evaluate the level of risk associated with identified hazards, strategies for reducing and controlling risks in oil and gas operations
  4. Safety Procedures and Emergency Preparedness: Standard operating procedures for safe work practices in the oil and gas industry, how to develop and implement safety procedures, emergency preparedness and response planning for situations such as power failure, equipment failure, or accidents
  5. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Types of PPE commonly used in the oil and gas industry, how to properly select, use, and maintain PPE, training on the proper use of PPE
  6. Fire Prevention and Protection Measures: Fire hazards and risks specific to the oil and gas industry, fire prevention and protection measures, such as fire extinguisher usage and maintenance, emergency shut-off valves and alarm systems, emergency procedures in case of fire
  7. Confined Space Entry: The hazards associated with confined space entry in oil and gas operations, how to identify and evaluate confined spaces, proper procedures for entering and working in confined spaces
  8. Incident Investigation and Reporting: Techniques for conducting incident investigations in the oil and gas industry, how to report incidents and accidents, how to identify and correct incident causes
  9. Safety Auditing and Inspection: The importance of safety auditing and inspection in the oil and gas industry, how to conduct safety audits and inspections, the role of safety audits and inspections in identifying and correcting safety issues

Training will be conducted via Microsoft Team Meeting, online. Meeting invites will be shared on the day before the first day of training.
