Managing Crowds Safely V 3.0 course aims to equip an organization with the knowledge necessary to assess and manage risks related to harmful chemicals at the workplace. Participants analyze the potential health effects, acceptable exposure limits, and safe handling practices associated with dangerous chemicals. Important issues like hazard recognition, general ventilation, emergency spill responses, and the donning and doffing of personal protective clothing and equipment (PPE) are taught. Particular attention is given to the understanding of chemical categories, chemical classifying as well as reading of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and the enforcement of OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard (HCS), COSHH, and GHS compliances. Using analytical case study approach and real-life scenarios, learners will know how to reduce and control chemical exposure, and promote a healthier and safer workplace. Ultimately, learners will be able to control the use of hazardous materials, fulfill legal obligations, and safeguard the employees and the surrounding society.

By the end of this course, participants will be able to plan, control, and manage crowds legally and safely for public events and emergency situations.

Understanding Crowd Behavior and Dynamics

  • To what extent do psychological and physical factors affect movement and behavior within a crowd?
  • Understanding crowd behavior condition triggers.

Planning for Crowd Safety

  • Know how to prepare crowd safety plans for events, venues, and public spaces.
  • Wrapping around the scope of incident assessment, auditing flow in and out of a particular place, and planning before contingencies.

Crowd Control Measures

  • Find out crowd control techniques put into the use of barriers, signs, and zoning.
  • Positioning of shepherds and emergency personnel for better coverage and fast response.

Emergency Evacuation and Response Procedures

  • Ability to work with set evacuation plans based on different simulations of crowd management scenarios.
  • Teach directional and informative crowd control communication.
  • Legal rules to be put in place and observed alongside the compliance policies.

Legal Compliance and Documentation

  • Detail the primary legislation and standards like The Purple Guide and the HSE crowd safety regulations.
  • How to show and document compliance so that liability is avoided and approval for events is granted.

Training will be conducted via Microsoft Team Meeting, online. Meeting invites will be shared on the day before the first day of training.
