The main objective of the course Internal Auditor ISO 9001:2015 QMS is to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary for conducting internal audits in compliance with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS). Students will learn audit functions, techniques, and other aspects necessary for assessing the productivity of an organization’s systems and processes. Course content includes critical aspects such as the planning and preparation for audits, risk-based thinking, non-conformance detection, root cause evaluation, corrective action implementation, and adherence to ISO 19011 audit standard procedures. Understanding and documentation of steps necessary to ensure improvement and alignment of audits achievement with the goals of the organization are also highly regarded. This course is applicable for quality experts, auditors, or managers with the intent of enabling them to perform internal audits, initiate processes that enhance organizational effectiveness, and meet the requirements of standards such as ISO 9001:2015. At the end of the course, participants will be capable of conducting operational audits to fulfill business operational and performance expectations.

After finishing this course, it is expected that participants will be able to plan, conduct, report and follow-up on the internal audits as per the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.

Understanding ISO 9001:2015 Principles and Structure

  • Acquire thorough understanding of the ISO 9001:2015 standard, its clauses, outline, and key principles of quality management.
  • Grasp the significance of risk-based thinking, customer element focus, and continual improvement in QMS.

Roles and Responsibilities of an Internal Auditor

  • A practicing internal auditor is expected to trace the performance of an internal auditor in a Quality Management System.
  • Develop ethical behavior, objectivity, and confidentiality pertaining audit activities.

Planning and Preparing for Internal Audits

  • Make an audit program and preparatory checklist of ISO 9001:2015.
  • Gather relevant documents and articulate the audit criteria, scope, and objectives.

Conducting and Documenting Internal Audits

  • The learner is expected to know how to conduct an interview, gather evidence and formulate non-conformities.
  • Summarize facts and documentation in the form of audit reports clearly and with actionable instructions.

Reporting and Follow-Up Actions

  • Learn how to report audit outcomes to management and defend the subsequent corrective measures.
  • Know how to carry out follow-up procedures to check the effectiveness of corrective actions taken and adjustments made.

Training will be conducted via Microsoft Team Meeting, online. Meeting invites will be shared on the day before the first day of training.
