Health and Safety Toolbox course provides a hands-on approach to ensuring safety in the workplace by providing an understanding of the practical tools and techniques used to detect, analyze, and manage health and safety problems. It explains certain safety fundamentals, like hazard recognition, risk detection, reporting procedures, emergency responses, as well as PPE donning and doffing. Participants will also learn about ergonomics and fire safety, manual handling, and how to build a positive safety culture. Particular attention is given to health and safety compliance and proactive risk management and physical safety routine procedures. All stakeholders, regardless of their professional background, will learn practical and applicable knowledge for real life situations. At the conclusion of this training, participants will receive skills relevant to identifying risks, enforcing safety protocols, and improving health and safety within the organization.

Having completed this course, students will be provided with practical tools, strategies, and checklists intended for the proactive management of health and safety for the workplace on a cross-functional and multi-industry level.

Grasping the Health and Safety Toolbox Concept

  • Explain what a Health and Safety Toolbox is, and its importance within daily operations.
  • Identify essential components such as risk assessment tools, communication checklists, forms, and safety aids.

Implementing Toolbox Talks Effectively

  • Gain skills on how to prepare and deliver topical and engaging safety talks.
  • Understand how frequent toolbox talks affect hazard awareness and behavior modification.

Utilizing Safety Checklists and Templates

  • Use checklists for inspections, audits, and safety checks that are tailored to tasks.
  • Learn how to document control for tracking improvements and legal compliance sustaining standardized documentation.

Fostering Employee Participation With Tools

  • Aid employees in the use of feedback forms, cards, and observation tools for hazard identification.
  • Promote collective participation towards safety within the workplace by encouraging collaborative use of the toolbox.

Safeguarding the Toolbox Approach

  • Reinforce safety messages and expectation with the toolbox method to enhance consistency.
  • Implement tools to daily operations to foster a proactive approach towards safety culture.

Training will be conducted via Microsoft Team Meeting, online. Meeting invites will be shared on the day before the first day of training.

Candidates will be provided a hard bound or soft material covering the whole course which can also be accessed through Phoenix LMS (learning management system) i.e. www.phoenixcpd.com
