• Observe lockout/tagout (LOTO) protocols while on maintenance or servicing duties.

Controlling Chemical and Fire Risks

• Be proficient in the safe handling and storage of hazardous chemicals used in the pulping and bleaching processes.
• Understand techniques to prevent explosions and fires in areas with paper dust or solvents.

Teaching Ergonomics and Safety in Manual Handling

• Employ ergonomics to minimize injuries resulting from repetitive movements or heavy lifting tasks.
• Understand correct lifting and mechanized moving of materials.

Training and Ensuring Compliance with Regulations
