Health and Safety in Hot Work Operations course details the techniques needed to control the risks of hot work operations while complying with safety regulations and industry standards. Participants will be familiarized with the hazards associated with welding, cutting, grinding, brazing and other heat producing activities such as fire and explosion, toxic fume release, burns, and eye injuries. The course consists of essential components such as permit-to-work schemes, fire prevention measures, adequate ventilation, Personal Protective Equipments (PPE), and emergency response plans. In tandem with these policies, strong focus is placed on hazard identification, risk assessment and regulatory compliance to mitigate workplace incidents. The course is intended for welders, fabricators, maintenance workers, and safety practitioners, as it enables learners to adopt control strategies to ensure the safety of the working environment. Upon completion of the course, participants will have the tools necessary to target risks, streamline safe working practices, and improve safety within the workplace during hot work activities.

After completing this course, learners will have the understanding and ability to properly and safely execute hot work operations while minimizing risks, and ensuring full compliance with safety regulations in dangerous environments.
