This course is designed to explain that exposure is a huge problem in the oil and gas industries with exposure causing sickness or even death Hydrogen Sulfide Training has become a necessity! Our training course meets training requirements under OSHA Standards 29 CFR 1910. 119, OSHA 29 CFR 1910.1200 and ANSI/ASSE Z390.1-2010. Our course is compliant with both OSHA and The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) . Instructional contact-time must be a minimum of 8 hours.

This course will offer participants a detailed understanding in various segments, which are not limited to:

  1. Introduction: Overview of the hazards of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) in the oil and gas industry, the importance of proper training and safety measures to protect workers from H2S exposure.
  2. Properties and Effects of H2S: The physical and chemical properties of H2S, the potential health effects of H2S exposure, including toxicity levels and symptoms.
  3. Detection and Measurement of H2S: Techniques for detecting and measuring H2S levels in the workplace,the limitations and proper use of H2S detection equipment.
  4. Respiratory Protection: The importance of respiratory protection when working in environments with H2S, proper selection, use, and maintenance of respiratory protective equipment, he limitations of respirators in H2S environments.
  5. Emergency Response and Evacuation: Emergency response procedures for H2S incidents, how to evacuate safely in case of an H2S release, first aid procedures for H2S exposure.
  6. H2S Safety Procedures and Regulations: Standard operating procedures for safe work practices in H2S environments, ow to develop and implement H2S safety procedures, overview of OSHA regulations and industry standards for H2S safety.
  7. H2S Awareness and Training: Importance of employee awareness and training in H2S safe, how to educate employees on the hazards of H2S and proper safety procedure, the role of regular H2S safety training in preventing incidents.
  8. H2S Prevention and Control Measures: Strategies for controlling and reducing H2S hazards in the workplace, techniques for preventing H2S incidents such as proper ventilation, isolation and maintenance, how to implement H2S safety management system.
  9. Incident Investigation and Reporting: Techniques for conducting incident investigations involving H2S, how to report incidents and accidents involving H2S, how to identify and correct incident causes
  10. Conclusion: Recap of the hazards of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) in the oil and gas industry, the importance of proper training and safety measures to protect workers from H2S exposure.

Training will be conducted via Microsoft Team Meeting, online. Meeting invites will be shared on the day before the first day of training.
