Fire Safety and Prevention Plans in Construction course focuses on fire safety risks, prevention methods, and emergency response planning for construction sites. Construction environments are especially vulnerable to fires due to the presence of flammable materials, high-temperature operations, and temporary electrical systems. This course teaches participants about carrying out fire risk assessments,proper storage and handling of combustible substances, fire watch responsibilities, and the operation of fire extinguishers and suppression systems. Also covered are hot work permits, emergency evacuation procedures, site specific fire safety plans, and compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and local fire codes Participants are trained in conducting fire drills, maintaining clear escape routes, and ensuring all workers know their responsibilities during a fire emergency. This training is targeted towards construction managers and supervisors, safety office and general workers, enabling them to prevent fire incidents and effectively implement fire responses that save lives and property.

After completing this course, participants will acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to apply first aid, provide CPR, and administer Basic Life Support (BLS) during emergency situations, effectively utilizing life-saving measures when needed.

Recognizing Medical Emergencies

  • Learn how to identify the following medical emergencies: heart attack, stroke, respiratory distress, and more.
  • Be able to diagnose the signs and risk factors associated with common medical emergencies so that one can respond effectively and in a timely manner.

Performing Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

  • Learn how to perform CPR on adults, children, and infants, including chest compressions and providing rescue breaths.
  • Gain knowledge on assessing the need for CPR and be trained to initiate life-saving interventions without delay.

Basic Life Support (BLS) Techniques

  • Basic Life Support is composed of critical components like airway maintenance, breathing support, and circulation evaluation. Learn these and more.
  • To stabilize patients until medical personnel arrive, understand the importance of and the need for timely, proper BLS interventions.

First Aid for Common Injuries and Illnesses

  • Gain how-to skills on providing first aid to common injuries: cuts, burns, sprains, fractures, and bleeding.
  • Learn assessment, monitoring, and management of medical disorders like choking, seizures, and diabetic emergencies.

Responding to an Emergency and Managing the Scene

  • Safely evaluate emergency situations, paying keen attention to the safety of both the patient and the rescuer.
  • Be able to manage the emergency scene by summoning assistance and relaying vital details to the medical personnel concerning the patient and the location.

Training will be conducted via Microsoft Team Meeting, online. Meeting invites will be shared on the day before the first day of training.
