In this course, students learn how to identify potential fire hazards and develop fire safety plans for different organizational environments. Irrespective of the context, the repercussions caused by fire incidents tend to be grave and often result in damages, injuries, or the disruption of business activities. Therefore a proactive approach to fire prevention becomes fundamental. This training considers fire risk assessments, principles of fire behavior, flammable materials and containers, and fire extinguishing methodology. Participants are taught pertinent fire legislation, emergency evacuation procedures, the use and coordination of extinguishers, and fire drills. Considerable attention is given to development of site specific fire prevention plans, upkeep of fire detection and suppression systems, and adherence to OSHA, NFPA, and local jurisdiction ordinances. These courses are appropriate for safety officers, risk managers, facility managers, supervisors, employees, and other personnel responsible for meeting fire safety objectives. This training aims to provide participants with skills pertaining to reducing fire risk, improving safety at the workplace, and acting quickly in emergencies to save lives and property.

After completing the fire safety course, you will be knowledgeable in creating, implementing, and evaluating fire safety prevention plans and ensuring compliance with all applicable workplace regulations.

Recognizing Fire Hazards and Risks

  • Learn how to locate fire hazards within workplaces, construction sites, and in other industrial settings.
  • Comprehend fire risk factors and how to evaluate them in order to prevent fires from happening.

Formulating Fire Prevention Tactics

  • Understand the principles and procedures related to fire prevention that involve the appropriate storage of flammable materials, equipment care, and housekeeping.
  • Learn how to use fire retardant materials and to construct fire barriers in order to lessen the chances of fires occurring.

Fire Safety Devices and Equipment

  • Identify critical fire safety devices such as fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, fire alarms, and sprinkler systems.
  • Understand the process of choosing, installing, and maintaining fire safety equipment and devices to ensure operability during fire emergencies.

Planning of Emergency Response and Evacuation

  • Develop and implement emergency response plans, which include evacuation routes, assembly points, and lines of communication.
  • Appreciate the value of training employees on evacuation procedures as well as performing fire drills routinely for better readiness towards potential emergencies.

Compliance with the Law and Maintaining Fire Safety

  • Grasp the fundamental fire safety regulations and policies established by OSHA, NFPA, and local governing body fire standards.
  • Understand how these laws are adhered to through post inspections, documentation, and operational audits.

Training will be conducted via Microsoft Team Meeting, online. Meeting invites will be shared on the day before the first day of training.
