 This course is designed for those working within general industry. The course design structure and content provide vital information for those working the following jobs:

Instructional contact-time must be a minimum of 8 hours.

This course will offer participants a detailed understanding in various segments, which are not limited to:

  1. Introduction: Overview of the general industry compliance requirements as outlined by OSHA, the importance of understanding and adhering to these requirements to ensure a safe and healthy work environment
  2. OSHA Standards and Regulations: Overview of OSHA standards and regulations specific to general industry, how to ensure compliance with OSHA standards and regulations
  3. Hazard Communication: Overview of the Hazard Communication Standard and its requirements for chemical labeling, material safety data sheets (MSDS), and employee training, how to develop and implement a hazard communication program in the workplace
  4. Fire Prevention and Emergency Response: Overview of the requirements for fire prevention and emergency response in general industry, how to develop and implement fire prevention and emergency response plans, the importance of regular fire drills and evacuation procedures
  5. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Overview of the requirements for PPE in general industry, how to properly select, use, and maintain PPE, the importance of employee training on PPE
  6. Machine Guarding: Overview of the requirements for machine guarding in general industry, how to properly install and maintain machine guards, the importance of employee training on machine guarding
  7. Electrical Safety: Overview of the requirements for electrical safety in general industry, how to properly install and maintain electrical equipment, the importance of employee training on electrical safety
  8. Ergonomics: Overview of the requirements for ergonomics in general industry, how to properly set up and adjust equipment and workstations, the importance of employee training on ergonomics
  9. Bloodborne Pathogens: Overview of the requirements for the prevention of exposure to bloodborne pathogens in general industry, how to develop and implement a bloodborne pathogens program, the importance of employee training on bloodborne pathogens
  10. Record Keeping and Reporting:  Overview of the requirements for record keeping and reporting in general industry, how to properly document and report workplace injuries.

Training will be conducted via Microsoft Team Meeting, online. Meeting invites will be shared on the day before the first day of training.

Candidates will be provided a hard bound or soft material covering the whole course which can also be accessed through Phoenix LMS (learning management system) i.e. www.phoenixcpd.com

Successful candidates will be awarded with completion certificate awarded by Phoenix Safety Consultants UK
